NASCAR Sprint Cup Dale Earnhardt Jr. wins pole for Daytona 500

Huge sensation at Daytona, where Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the pole at the Daytona 500 qualifying session. Jeff Gordon will start alongside him for the first 100% online Hendrick Motorsports.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. made a splash Sunday at Daytona by winning the pole position for the Daytona 500 which will be held next Sunday. The driver for Hendrick Motorsports and wins his first career pole at Daytona, one pole position all the more symbolic than the Daytona 500 will mark the tenth anniversary of the tragic death of Dale Earnhardt father.
