Bentley builds the world's fastest convertible four-seater
Bentley, luxury manufacturers under the umbrella of Volkswagen, Continental is expanding its line with a sensational model: The four-seat convertible in the Supersports variant.
Like the coupe, it stands for slight visual changes, weight reduction and improved performance by 20 to 630 hp.
With the optimized 6.0-liter W12 engine, the convertible storms in 4.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h. And the sprint from 0 to 160 km / h takes 9.5 seconds.
Only at 325 km / h driving resistances come to balance without a Abregler would jump the gun. Thus, the new Bentley is the fastest four-seat convertible in the world.
The developers have the Supersports to Ulrich Eichhorn, who like all Continental models based on the modified platform of the VW Phaeton, sporting resharpened.
The six-speed automatic now switches to 50 percent faster than before and can skip a gear when downshifting.
The ESP system permits dose after surgery earlier than previously re-accelerate, and the all-wheel drive now sends 60 percent of power to the rear to approximate driving one rear-wheeldrive.
Bentley has succeeded to reduce the weight of the GTC Speed for a total of 90 kilograms. Half of this is the account of the lightweight carbon-fiber seats forward.
