2011 Hybrid Lincoln MKZ debuts in New York
Looking at the existing range of the company Lincoln, hard to find a model that could boast of a good commercial success, including the MKS, MKT, MKX and MKZ. But Ford Lincoln brand persistently returns to life, as a hybrid Lincoln MKZ should be a promising project.
The debut of the hybrid to be held this week in the car show in New York. Probably, Lincoln MKZ share the same engine with a hybrid Ford Fusion, namely the 2.5-liter Atkinson, coupled with a gearbox eCVT, along with the metal-nikilievym electric motor.
If the engine actually appears on the hood of a hybrid MKZ, then the car will be very competitive performance. Fuel consumption in the urban cycle may reach 7.0 liters. 100 km on the road about 6.5 liters. 100 km, provided that the cost of new items will be the adequacy of existing analogs.
On the other hand interesting is how much is going to run Ford hybrids this year. Since the emergence of hybrid Lincoln MKZ not simply add another hybrid to the lineup of the company, and significantly dilute it by adding the competition. But, also due to the higher cost, it is still Lincoln, and the balance can remain the same. In any case, remains to await the formal presentation, which will probably be ajar some information about the future plans of the company.
