It's official, Chrysler will produce the electric Fiat 500 in the U.S.
It's official, the Fiat 500 will power indeed the day on American soil. And that Chrysler is going to undertake the production of the small city. The U.S. manufacturer announced in a statement it would produce "a 100% electric vehicle with a platform of the Fiat 500. The zero-emission car will have a lithium-ion battery and an electric power produced at Auburn, the headquarters of Chrysler. Production will begin in 2012 with a market in the wake. And to do two things at once, Chrysler will also produce the Fiat 500 for the United States. This should make entering the market in late 2010.
